The Scottish Graduate School of Social Science welcomes postgraduate research students to this advanced training event in Sociology.
This event will discuss a central element of social research: to what extent the researcher's personal views and political positions should influence their work. Participants at this event will be trained in the various positions taken on their question by social theorists and be expected to assess their relative value and relevance to their work. It will also reflect on experiences of doing normative research. The event will be aimed at PhD students at all levels of study, no prior learning beyond that which can be expected of a social science PhD student will be required.
The registration is open through Eventbrite. On Eventbrite you can also find the programme and further details on arrangements.
