The Human Geography pathway is offered by the Scottish Human Geography Postgraduate Consortium (SHGPC), a research training partnership with longstanding ESRC recognition involving the geography programmes of the Universities of Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and St. Andrews.
The Human Geography pathway consists of 1+3 and +3 routes. All five institutions offer Masters level programmes. Advanced training is provided by individual institutions and collaboratively by SHGPC through proven residential events and new master-classes in advanced theory, methods and transferable skills.
The advanced research training offered by SHGPC serves students enrolled at member institutions, and is open to PhD students in geography and other cognate disciplines from institutions across Scotland.
