Warwick WainrightWarwick Wainright

Warwick is currently studying towards his PhD at SRUC and University of Edinburgh, his project will provide an assessment of the most appropriate economic mechanisms to supply Farm Animal Genetic Resources (breed diversity) both in the UK and further afield. He specializes in applying economic valuation to environmental resources. Specifically, his research aims to develop resource management plans and policy initiatives which act to reduce external pressures inhibiting the supply of environmental goods and services. He has a particular interest in applying non-market valuation methodologies to measure non-use values consumers may attach to environmental resources. Developing cost effective policy recommendations are a key component and interest within his work. Previously, he has worked on various domestic and international economic projects with a number of different organisations.
